Milena Chaufan graduated in 2024 after writing a thesis limb initiation in Xenopus. Mili is currently a researcher in the Ubellacker Lab at HSPH

Shreya Chattapadhyay graduated in 2024. She authored a paper on PFAS and sensitivity to Antibiotics.

Kate Konshina graduated in 2023. Kate spearheaded a project on cereblon and thalidomide. Kate went to work at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute after completing her thesis.
Vibhuti Naik graduated in 2023 and was the first one in our lab to make anterior-posterior chimeric embryos.

Ganad Neka graduated in 2023. Ganad helped shed light on the timing of when PFOS induces tumors. Some of her work appeared in the PFOS and antibiotic paper.

Emma Harrison graduated in 2022. Emma made the discovery that PFOS interacts with various antibiotics and was the first author on the paper describing this effect. Emma is Currently a technician in Christian Mosimann’s lab at University of Colorado.

Maggie Clancy graduated in 2022. Maggies showed us that we can reuse our laboratory plastic without comprimising our experiments. She published her work in Developmental Dynamics. Maggie is currently a technician in Cliff Tabin’s Lab at Harvard Medical School.

Maya Baskin graduated in 2021. Maya made the initial discovery that PFOS exposure causes tumors in Xenopus. Her work appears in the PFOS/antibiotics paper.

Michelle Balcarcel-Monzon graduated in 2021. She is interested in the development of limbs in the frog and used both genome editing along with transplantation to look for the limb forming region of tadpoles.

Nada Seli graduated in 2021. She investigated the role of Sall4 in patterning the neural plate in response to Wnt signaling.

Samantha Royle was a Graduate Student at Harvard University. Her interests in limb development in amphibians brought her to us here at Simmons where we collaborated on unraveling the earliest steps in amphibian limb initiation. As a founding member of the Young Lab, Sam provides both experience and a fun atmosphere in the lab. She finished her PhD in 2023 and currently works for Bain Capitol.
